Mailén Parmiggianni
Mailen was born in Argentina, and in 2003, she relocated to Mexico. Her journey into the perinatal world began in 2009 when she faced challenges conceiving her daughters. In Mexico City, she pursued independent studies related to women’s cycles, hormones, and nutrition. After experiencing two water births, she delved further into the perinatal field.
In 2011, Mailen completed the DONA Seminar and the Acupressure for Birth Workshop. She also obtained certification as a Lamaze Perinatal Educator. Her commitment to learning led her to self-study and deepen her knowledge of infant development.
For four years, she led workshops on rebozo use and babywearing at the El Arenal Educational Center under the guidance of Laura Mandoki in Coyoacán. In 2014, she co-founded IMA (Instinto Maternal y de Apego).
Mailen has completed workshops on baby-led weaning with a focus on child-led feeding, as well as courses on rebozo use during childbirth, active listening, medicine, and postpartum closure.
Today, she practices as a Perinatal Educator, Doula, and lactation consultant at Salud Primal. She conducts childbirth preparation courses, provides Doula support during labor, offers breastfeeding counseling, and leads workshops on parenting and baby-led weaning. In addition to her professional pursuits, she is a mother to two homeschooled daughters and continues to advance her studies in traditional midwifery.
